Antalya, Senate president, Faisal Fayez, on Wednesday attended the third Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments (MSEAP 3) in Turkey, which aims to discuss ways of enhancing parliamentary relations, economic and investment cooperation, and the current situation in the Middle East.
The event, themed “Economic Co-operation, Environment and Sustainable Development in Eurasia,” attracted the participation of 40 parliamentary delegations.
Fayez, while meeting with Eurasian parliamentarians, underlined the deep-rooted relations between Jordan and several countries including Kazakhstan, Kuwait, and Iraq.
Fayez discussed bilateral ties with Kazakh Parliament Chairman, Nurlan Nigmatulin, and prospects of boosting them in political, economic, and parliamentary areas.
He had similar discussions with Kuwait’s National Assembly Speaker, Marzouq Ghanem, and Iraq’s parliament Speaker, Mohammed Halbousi.
The Senate President reviewed the repercussions of the influx of Syrian refugees noting that the Kingdom is in need of international support to continue aiding refugees and stabilizing the region.
