Manama, Saudi national, Khalid bin Salim Al-Marri, has clinched the title of the second edition of the Faris Al-Mawrooth international competition, held under the patronage of His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Al-Marri won the title after receiving 69 points, and was followed by Bahrainis, Salim Nasser Al-Saadi, who was second with 68 points, and Mohammed Amer, who was third, along with Saudi Majid bin Eid Al-Shammari, with 65 points.
Organised and supervised by the Bahrain Inherited Traditional Sports Committee, the Faris Al Mawrooth competition includes camel racing, horse racing, fixed and mobile archery and falconry.
The second edition of the competition attracted participants from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Iraq, in addition to Bahrain.
