Ramallah, Groups of Israeli extremist settlers early Wednesday renewed their storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque/Haram Al Sharif yards in occupied Jerusalem, a Palestinian source said.
Director-General of the Islamic Awqaf and al-Aqsa Affairs, Sheikh Azzam al-Khatib, told Petra’s correspondent in Ramallah that despite the holy month of Ramadan, and in large presence of Muslim worshipers, groups of extremist settlers stormed al-Aqsa yards entering through the Bab Al Magharbeh Gate .
” Under heavy protection of Israeli police and army, and in a provocative manner, the intruders toured the Muslim’s holy shrine before leaving the Mosque from the Bab al-Silsila gate,” he said.
Last night, the Israeli occupation police issued traffic tickets fines for vehicles of Muslim worshipers who were performing Taraweeh prayers, the special prayers performed during the month of Ramadan, in the holy Mosque.
