Qatar Airways receives SUNFO Service Excellence Corporate Award 2015 (Daily Mirror (Sri Lanka))

Qatar Airways has won the SUNFO ‘Service Excellence Corporate Award 2015’ from the Sri Lanka-United Nations Friendship Organisation (SUNFO) at a ceremony held at the iconic Sri Lanka Museum Auditorium in Colombo.

SUNFO is a non-political, non-racial and non-sectarian organisation working towards the peace, harmony and well-being of the community in Sri Lanka. The organisation recognises the significance of honouring excellent organisations and companies operating in Sri Lanka for their achievements and excellence in service levels and Qatar Airways was the only commercial organisation to be awarded this year.

Qatar Airways Country Manager Sri Lanka and Maldives Ajay Jacob received the award on behalf of the airline at the ceremony.

Qatar Airways has been successfully operating to Colombo since 1994 and currently operates triple-daily flights connecting the city to more than 150 destinations including Chicago, Moscow, Paris, London, Frankfurt, Nairobi, Rome, Milan, Venice, New York, Washington and Montreal.

The airline is currently flying a modern fleet of 163 aircraft to 151 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.

Qatar Airways recently won Airline of the Year, Best Business Class Airline Seat and Best Airline in the Middle East at the 2015 Skytrax Awards. This is the third time the airline has won the accolade of ‘Airline of the Year’.
