Amman, Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Arizona for the implementation of the first national and regional professional certificate in cybersecurity.
The MoU includes the provision of a joint professional certificate between the two universities, starting in the 2019 summer term, at three different levels, each covering a key component of cybersecurity.
The first 3-month level covers cybersecurity through computer networks, the second 3-month level covers computer security and the third covers security of cellular devices and cloud computing.
The agreement aims at providing the local, regional and global markets with professionals with advanced skills in cybersecurity, which will positively reflect on the needs of the market, in both private and public sectors.
The certificate will be implemented at PSUT with the participation of faculty members from both institutions.
