Prime Minister receives Head of the Saudi General Auditing Bureau

Amman, Prime Minister , Omar Razzaz, received in his office on Thursday Head of the Saudi General Auditing Bureau Hossam Al Anqari.

During the meeting, Razzaz underlined the historic relations between the two countries, which enjoy patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The brotherly relationship between the two kingdoms’ leaderships requires further efforts from the two governments to work on enhancing joint cooperation in all fields to serve mutual interests, the premier pointed out.

Razzaz referred to the government’s commitment to support the oversight bodies in Jordan and to enhance their role and institutional capacities in preserving public funds and boosting efficiency of the public sector, expressing Jordan’s readiness to harness its accumulated experience to the Saudi peers in this field.

Razzaz noted the Audit Bureau has made important progress and its reports are highly credible among the citizens, the Parliament and the government, pointing out the bureau’s reports will be quarterly in a bid to address irregularities mentioned on a timely basis, which reflects the government’s keenness to fight corruption.

For his part, Al Anqari highlighted cooperation and coordination with Jordan’s Audit Bureau, adding the two oversight bodies share similar views on various issues related to their work.
