Washington, Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, yesterday, met with a number of US journalists who represent major US and international news agencies.
During a panel discussion in Washington, Razzaz pointed to the Jordanian approach in reform, namely, in light of challenges facing the Kingdom and the Middle East region.
Razzaz spoke about burdens imposed on Jordan’s economy, since the Kingdom hosts 1.3 million Syrian refugees.
The prime minister called on companies and investors to look into incentives offered by Jordan’s economy in various fields including industry, energy and education.
70 per cent of Jordan’s population is under the age of 30, Razzaz said, adding that this sector is highly qualified, where a number of countries in the region and the world depend on them in their institutions and factories.
Jordan, the prime minister said, had signed a number of free trade agreements with many countries and economic blocs, namely, the United States.
