Parliamentary committee discusses Jordanian-Turkish ties with Turkish envoy

Palestine Parliamentary Committee at the Lower House discussed with Turkish Ambassador to Jordan Murat Karagoz, means of forging closer ties between Jordan and Turkey, especially in the parliamentary field.

During a visit to the Turkish Embassy in Amman, the committee highlighted the strong ties between the two countries as well as the need to further boost them in the interest of both peoples.

Head of Palestine Parliamentary Committee at the Lower House Yihya Saud congratulated Turkey on behalf of the committee, over President Recep Tayyib Erdogan’s victory in the recent presidential and parliamentary elections.

He praised Turkey’s democratic experience, the success of the elections, the level of transparency in these elections and the high voter turnout.

Saudi also hailed Ankara’s stance on the Hashemite custodianship of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem as well as its honorable stance on the Palestinian issue the Gaza blockade.

Ambassador Karagoz praised the strong and deeply-rooted ties between Jordan and Turkey and voiced keenness to further develop them to achieve the interest of both countries.

He also praised Jordan’s ability to preserve its security and stability despite the current situation in the region.
