Palestinian teacher, students suffocate as Israeli forces storm Hebron school

Ramallah, A Palestinian teacher and dozens of students, early Wednesday, suffered suffocation after Israeli occupation forces stormed the premises of Hebron Elementary School in the old city of Hebron, in the West Bank.

The Directorate of Education in Hebron said in a statement that the Israeli troops broke into the school and fired toxic gas canisters inside its walls, leaving a teacher and dozens of students suffocated.

The suffocated Palestinians were taken to the Mohammad Ali Al Mohtaseb Hospital in the city for treatment, the statement added.

Acording to eyewitnesses, the Israeli army jeeps also attempted to run over a number of students of the school.
