Amman, Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, on Wednesday said that his meeting today with His Majesty King Abdullah II comes within the framework of continuous coordination between the Jordanian and Palestinian sides on the latest developments in the Palestinian issue and means of developing bilateral relations.
“We are keen to have coordination [with Jordan] in all areas, because we feel that our interest is similar, and what harms us harms them and what benefits us benefits them,” Abbas stated.
“There are many things related to the so-called “deal of the century” which we reject. It concerns the Israeli position and the Palestinian reconciliation, and we must exchange views on all these issues in addition to the daily bilateral relations between us and Jordan,” the Palestinian President added.
Abbas said that Palestine and Jordan always agree on any issue, whether local, Arab, regional or international.
On Arab’s position on the Palestinian cause, Abbas said that so far Arab’s position on the deal of the century is similar to ours and what came of the summit Dhahran (on the Palestinian issue) is still in place so far and agreed upon between all Arab countries.
