Amman, Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have arrested 9 suspected drug dealers and seized 112 kg of cannabis as part of a crackdown on traffickers in various regions of the Kingdom, according to a security source.
The source said that following a tip-off, AND personnel started an investigation on a suspect whose house was later raided. Searching the house, AND officers found and seized the 112 kg of cannabis.
In Amman, the security forces dealt with two separate cases that included two suspects. Both suspects were arrested one of them was caught red-handed.
Also, AND agents swooped on two houses in a northern region governorate and nabbed 4 suspects after they were found in possession of narcotic pills.
Police also apprehended two suspects in a car while selling drugs.
All the arrested suspects were being investigated, prior to transferring them to the State Security Court’s prosecutor general.
