Amman, – The Ministry of Labor, the online career network, Akhtaboot, and the European Union Delegation / Technical Support Project for Work Skills and Social Integration signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday to increase employment opportunities for the jobless Jordanians to qualify for entry into the labor market.
The memorandum urges cooperation and coordination between the public and priate sectors in the field of employment through the joint organization of the 2018 Career Fair on the basis of the principles of mutual partnership in accordance with Jordanian laws and EU regulations.
Under the agreement, the EU Delegation will be represented in the Technical Support Project, the strategic partner of the 2018 Annual Job Fair, scheduled to be held in September.
The memorandum has a number of strategic objecties in the medium and long terms that would proide suitable job opportunities for unemployed Jordanians and proide technical serices to employers, while ensuring regular coordination in terms of organization and ealuation of the annual career expo.
The agreement was signed by the Ministry of Labor General Secretary, Hani Khalifat, Akhtaboot company’s General Manager, Yousef Chamoun, and the European Union Delegation Representatie, Project Manager, Luca Azoui.
