Meeting of Arab Union of Administrative Judiciary kicks off in Amman

Amman, Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, President of the Court of Cassation and President of the Judicial Council Mohammad Ghazo on Wednesday attended the opening of the Fourth Meeting of the General Assembly of the Arab Union of Administrative Judiciary.

In remarks during the ceremony, Ghazo said the fourth meeting in Amman comes as a continuation of the series of meetings and symposiums related to the union since its establishment three years ago.

He added that the 2011 constitutional amendments in Jordan had a major role in issuing the administrative judiciary law, which contributed effectively to the development of the administrative judiciary through the establishment of administrative judiciary, and expanding its terms of reference to ensure speedy and safe procedures.

Head of the Egyptian State Council Ahmad Abul Azem said the conference in Amman comes in line with the idea of establishing the union based on joint work, praising Jordan’s experience in strengthening the administrative judiciary after the constitutional amendments that were approved by the Jordanian state.

Abul Azem expressed his hope that the meeting will seek to consolidate the concept of justice and equality through the administrative judiciary.
