Minister of Labor, Yousef Shamali, discussed on Thursday, with the Iraqi ambassador to Jordan, Haider Al-Athari, the “brotherly, historic” relations between the two countries, which are witnessing “continuous” growth in all fields.
Speaking during the meeting, the minister stressed the need to invest and build on the Jordanian-Iraqi partnership, and to take the necessary measures to activate and develop it in a way that serves the common interests, in accordance with directives of the two countries’ leaderships.
To address the current conditions conduced by the Covid-19 pandemic, the minister said the crisis requires enhancing the joint coordination level, and opening “broad and new” horizons for cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, the envoy praised the “advanced” level of bilateral relations and the two countries’ keenness to develop the “deep-rooted, fraternal” ties, adding Baghdad is looking forward to to developing and strengthening them in various fields.
