Kyrgyzstan hospitals to get $500,000 grant from Japan under agreement
ishkek (AKIpress) – Japanese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan signed a grant agreement on March 3 with the hospitals of the country for purchasing the medical equipment under the “Grassroots and Human Security” program.Ambassador of Japan Takayuki Koike and heads of 5 medical institutions have signed the grant agreement. Those hospitals are:
National Center for Maternal and Child Care ($153,993), Issyk-Kul regional hospital ($102,343), Tokmok territorial hospital ($100,453), Uzgen territorial hospital ($ 90,274), and Issyk-Kul Family Medicine Center ($89,239).
Health Minister Talantbek Batyraliyev said Saudi Arabia and Germany provide aid for the country’s healthcare sector. “Equipment must be properly used,” he said.
