Jordanian-Palestinian forum calls for consultations on tax law

Amman The Jordanian-Palestinian Business Forum called for consultations with the economic sector to come up with a modern tax law that achieves justice, combats tax evasion, improves the economy and increases its competitiveness.

In a seminar on Wednesday, the forum expressed its reservations and objections to the tax law that was referred by the Cabinet to the Lower House and called for withdrawing this law.

“The income tax law in its current form, hinders investment, reduces the competitiveness of national industries and increases financial burdens on various economic sectors,” the forum added.
