Amman, Twelve local food companies will take part tomorrow in SIAL Canada food exhibition in Montreal, in a bid open new export markets for local products, according to the Jordan Exporters Association (JEA).
Jordan’s participation in the exhibition was arranged by the JEA, Jordan Investment Commission and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), said JEA President Omar Abu Wishah.
“It is an opportunity to promote national products which have developed considerably over the past years in terms of quality, price and competitiveness”, Abu Wishah noted.
The JEA will also organize meetings of the Jordanian companies’ representatives with Canadian businesspeople willing to import national products, he added.
Jordan and Canada signed four cooperation agreements in 2009 eyeing closer economic relations in various fields, especially in trade, investment, labour and environment domains.
