Cairo, Jordan took part in the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Conference on Maritime Transport and Logistics, which kicked off Tuesday in the Egyptian Governorate of Ismailia.
The two-day conference will be attended by representatives of the governments of a number of Mediterranean countries, ports authorities, regional and international organizations and international financial institutions.
The conference will highlight success stories of key Mediterranean ports, including Egypt’s Suez Canal and economic zone, in addition to Euro-Mediterranean ports in France, Italy, Spain, Jordan and Morocco, UfM Deputy Secretary-General, Ihab Fahmy said.
He added that the conference will also discuss fostering inter-modality and connectivity, and increasing synergies amongst main ports in the region.
