Amman, A Jordanian delegation headed by Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Tareq Hammouri participated in the 35th session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC), which has recently convened in Istanbul.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply on Saturday, the participants, representing 57 member states and heads of organizations and structures of the pan-Muslim organization, discussed, over five days, ways to strengthen economic and commercial cooperation between member states and means to achieve sustainable food systems.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Hammouri discussed with a number of ministers and officials participating in the meeting ways to cement economic cooperation between Jordan and their countries.
The minister met with the Palestinian minister of economy, the Iraqi minister of commerce, the Bahraini minister of labor, planning, municipal affairs and urban planning, and Turkey’s minister of commerce.
