Amman, Jordan progressed 15 places in the World Bank’s Doing Business report 2018 and ranked 103 out of 190 countries, according to a statement released on Tuesday by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mary Kawar said that during the 2017-2018, Jordan achieved significant progress in the World Bank’s Doing Business Report 2018. Jordan was able to progress 4 places in the 2018 Competitiveness Yearbook to rank 52 out of 63 countries, the minister added.
This progress, according to Kawar, is the result of the reform efforts adopted by the government in the areas of government and business efficiency and infrastructure.
According to the statement, the ministry analyzed the reasons for the decline in the previous reports in detail and suggested the necessary measures and interventions to stop the decline in cooperation with concerned executive bodies.
