Abu Dhabi, Jordan is participating in the Global Conference of Human Fraternity, held in Abu Dhabi in conjunction with the historic visits of the Pope of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis and Grand Imam of al-Azhar, Ahmed el-Tayeb to the UAE.
Jordanian Ambassador to Abu Dhabi Jumaa Al-Abbadi, the Executive Director of the Jordan Interfaith Coexistence Research Center (JICRC), Father Nabil Haddad, and the Advisor at the Jordanian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Diana Al-Hadid, participated in the conference.
The two-day event, organized by the Muslim Council of Elders under the patronage of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the participation of religious leaders and intellectual and media figures from Jordan and around the world, aims at activating the dialogue on coexistence and fraternity among people, its importance, its starting points and means of enhancing it globally.
The conference will explore topics such as interfaith dialogue, oppression of religious communities and ways to tackle extremism.
