Jordan partakes in Arab Ministers of Information meeting in Cairo

Cairo, Jordan took part in the 49th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information, and the 9th regular session of the Executive Bureau of Arab Information Ministers, held Wednesday at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.

The Jordanian delegation was headed by the Jordan Ambassador to Cairo and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ali Al-Ayed.

The meeting discussed the Palestinian issue, the Arab Charter of Honor, the Arab media strategy, and the Arab media’s role in tackling terrorism.

Participants in the meeting agreed on an Arab media plan to address the U.S. unilateral decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a plan of action of the Arab media abroad, TV rights of broadcasts of major events and sports tournaments and social media networks’ role in addressing illiteracy.
