Jerusalem Grand Mufti warns of establishing American hospital in Gaza

Ramallah, The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, the imam of the Al Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, warned of impacts of establishing the American field hospital in the northern Gaza Strip.

Hussein said this hospital is suspicious and comes at a time when in which the United States is preventing political and financial aid from the Palestinian people, legalizes settlements, conspires against Jerusalem and holy sites, imposes financial sanctions on the Palestinian economy, hospitals, and institutions, and fights UNRWA.

The Grand Mufti called on the Palestinian people in Gaza not to deal with this hospital.

On Sunday, equipment for building the hospital arrived in the Gaza Strip through the Karm Abu Salem Crossing in the context of the ceasefire understandings reached earlier this year with Israel under the auspices of Egypt, Qatar and the United Nations.

The hospital will be funded by a private American organization and managed by an international medical team.
