Jerash enjoys 100 percent increase of foreign visitors in April

Jerash, The total number of foreign visitors of the ancient Roman city Jerash in April recorded a 100 per cent increase compared to the same period of 2017, according to Director of Jerash Antiquities Ziad Ghunimat.

last month, a total of 39,000 foreign tourists of various nationalities and 13,000 Jordanians visited Jerash , Jordan’s largest and most interesting Roman site and a key tourist attraction, posting JD265,000 in ticket revenues, Ghunimat said.

In April 2017, the total number of visitors to Jerash, 45km north of Amman, reached 23,000, including 13,000 non-Jordanian tourists and 10,000 Jordanians, with revenues that amounted to JD133,000, Ghunimat pointed out.
