Israeli forces set up iron gate to seal off Palestinian village

Amman, Israeli Occupation Forces on Sunday installed a new iron gate at the entrance of the town of Deir Istiya north of Salfit in the occupied West Bank, according to Salfit Mayor Said Zaidan.

Zaidan said in a statement that the gate was installed on the side of Sida high, thus completing the closure of the secondary roads connecting the bypass road.

He pointed out that Israeli forces closed the roads in many areas with iron gates, cement cubes and barriers for years, under the pretext they were installed for security reasons.

Israeli forces intentionally set up gates in most of the villages and towns of the West Bank located in the area “C”, where these gates turn the villages and towns into a large prison run by the occupation army.
