Iran says it will not extend 60-day nuclear deal deadline

Amman, Iran has announced on Wednesday it will not extend the 60 day-period to the other parties in the nuclear deal unless they keep promises with the agreement, according to media reports.

“Iran’s two-month deadline to remaining signatories of the JCPOA (nuclear deal) cannot be extended, and the second phase will be implemented exactly as planned,” atomic agency spokesman BehrouzKamalvandi was quoted as saying by Faris news agency.

Kamalvandi said:” If the nuclear agreement’s parties formally recognize our rights, which are to lift the embargo, we will also implement our commitments. Otherwise, we will reduce our commitments to create balance”.
