Iran conducts massive drones exercise

Amman, Iran’s Defense Ministry Thursday announced it launched a massive drone exercise in the Arabian Gulf region.

According to Fars News Agency, the Revolutionary Guard Corps performed the exercise named “Beit al-Maqdis,” a reference to Jerusalem, involving 50 Iranian drones on the RQ-170 (US Sentinel) model operated with a number of assault and combat drones.

This exercise is the first of its kind during which so many drones operated simultaneously in an “offensive operation” at distances of more than 1,000 km away from one another, Iran announced.

” Drones are trained to strike predetermined targets with “high precision,” it added further.
