Amman, Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yarub Qudah, on Wednesday evening, attended the opening of the Jordan International Food Exhibition 2018 “Jordan Food,” held at the International Center for Exhibitions and Conferences with the participation of 50 Jordanian and foreign companies.
The exhibition, which is located on an area of 5000 square meters, brings together companies from Egypt, Indonesia, Russia, Nigeria, Iran, India, Italy and Jordan, specializing in the food industry.
The five-day exhibition, which is organized by the International Promoters Company (IPCO) in cooperation with the Amman Chamber of Industry and the Association of Small and Medium Industrial Enterprises, includes cooking competitions under the supervision of international chefs from Jordan and Lebanon.
Qudah said Jordan doesn’t have an economic crisis, but it is going through challenges like different countries in the region, and measures taken by the government are designed to overcome the economic crisis and arrive economic stability.
He stressed that the government measures aim to maximize national production, increase national exports and provide the necessary protection for the production sector in various industrial, agricultural and services fields.
The exhibition will open to visitors for direct sale from 04:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
