Amman, Mercury levels are expected to climb few degrees on
Monday to become around their annual average, bringing spring-like and moderate
weather conditions in the hilly areas and plains, while it will be relatively
hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, with northwesterly moderate winds,
the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
A further rise in temperatures is forecast on Tuesday, so sunny and warm conditions will prevail in the mountainous areas, while it will be relatively hot in other regions, with southwesterly to northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
On Wednesday, mercury levels will continue to soar, bringing relatively hot conditions in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba where it will be hot, with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
Temperatures expected for today will reach 28 degrees Celsius in Amman, and 24 degrees in the northern and southern governorates, dropping down to 17, 11 and 10 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 37 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 23 degrees at night.
