Egypt temporarily opens Rafah crossing for Gaza pilgrims

Cairo, Egyptian authorities Sunday opened the Rafah border crossing with the Gaza Strip to allow the eighth group of pilgrims to move in and out of the blockaded territory.

An official source at the crossing said that additional Egyptian crews were made available to expedite the crossing of the Gaza pilgrims.

“The eighth group includes 800 pilgrims, while an additional number of vehicles will be provided to transfer them to Cairo International Airport to enable them to travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah,” the source added.
