Domestic revenues rise by 2.2pct in first seven months of 2018

Amman, Domestic revenues rose by 2.2 percent by the end of July 2018 to reach JD4.054 billion compared to JD3.966 billion for the same period of 2017, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement on Tuesday.

This rise, totaled JD 88 million, is attributed to a rise in tax revenues by JD48.6 million and a rise in the non-tax revenues by JD39.3 million, the statement said ,indicating that the domestic revenues for July, 2018 rose by 9 percent to JD695 million, compared to JD638 million in July 2017.

Foreign grants until the end of July of this year amounted to JD137.2 million compared to JD134 million for the same period of 2017, with an increase of about JD3.2 million or 2.3 percent for the same period of 2017, the statement noted, adding that the total expenditure amounted to JD4.851 billion compared to JD4.640 billion during the same period of 2017, with an increase of 4.5 percent.
