Deputizing for King, interior minister attends midnight mass in Bethlehem

Ramallah, Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Interior Minister Samir Mubaidin attended the Christmas midnight mass at Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity yesterday as the eastern Christian traditions began their Christmas celebrations.

The celebration was also attended on behalf of Palestinian Mahmoud Abbas, by Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Al Hamdallah.

His Beatitude Kyrios Kyrios Theophilos III, Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine and Jordan, who led the Christmas mass, voiced hope that peace will prevail in the region and the whole world.

The interior minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah and the Jordanian people to Christians on this occasion, stressing that His Majesty is keen on the participation of all Christian denominations in all Christian occasions.

He also conveyed the King’s wishes that peace, security and stability will prevail in the holy lands.
