COVID-19 deaths in US reach 100

The death toll from the novel coronavirus in the United States jumped to 100, according to the Washington Post on Wednesday.

The US Department of Health announced that the virus had spread in the 50 states, noting that half of these deaths were in Washington state, northwest of the US, 12 deaths were in New York and 11 deaths in California.

Also today, West Virginia reported its first infected case of the (COVID-19), making it the 50th state affected by the virus.

In the same context, New York mayor warned residents to prepare for the possibility of a “shelter in place” order within the next 48 hours.
