COVID-19 deaths in US hit 91,845

The death toll from the novel coronavirus in the United States increased to 91,845, after 1,539 new fatalities were recorded in the last 24 hours, according to Johns Hopkins University’s tally on Wednesday dawn.

The overall number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the US, the world’s most affected county by the pandemic, has surpassed 1.5 million, the University’s data showed, noting that a total of 290 thousands patients have recovered.

New York ranked first in terms of the number of coronavirus deaths in America, nearly one third of the country’s total.
