Canadian tourists denied entry to Ajloun site

Ajloun Tourism Directorate personnel on Monday denied four Canadian tourists entry to the Ajloun Castle amid coronavirus fears, according to Director Mohammad Ad-Deek.

He told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the restrictions are part of precautions to prevent the spread of the novel COVID-19 by prohibiting gatherings at tourist sites.

He underlined the directorate’s commitment to implementing government directives and take the necessary precautionary measures, including shutting down tourist attractions to both visitors and visitors.

He noted that the directorate will continue the comprehensive sterilization and spraying campaign at various tourist and archeological sites, in cooperation with the concerned authorities, for public safety.
