Amman, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Lit. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Wednesday received Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Freihat and al-Attiyah discussed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, and prospects of enhancing joint military cooperation and coordination, as well as boosting bilateral cooperation to serve interests of the armed forces in the two brotherly countries.
Freihat stressed the depth of ties and cooperation especially the exchange of expertise in the military field, expressing pride in the advanced and distinguished level of competence, readiness, and performance the Qatari army has reached.
For his part, al-Attiyah said military cooperation between Jordan and Qatar receives the attention and care of the two countries’ leaders, adding his visit is an opportunity to exchange viewpoints, and boost bilateral cooperation.
The two sides signed several joint military cooperation and investment agreements between the two countries.
