Ramallah, About 600 Jewish settlers at dawn stormed the village of Kafel Haris, north of the West Bank city of Salfit, and performed Talmudic rituals in the area of historical shrines amid heavy protection of Israeli army, according to Palestinian sources.
A statement by Kafel Haris village council said that the settlers stormed the village after the deployment of large Israeli forces in its neighborhoods, noting that the settlers’ incursion was to pray at the alleged tombs of Yusha BenNun and Caleb BenYuvna.
In a separate incident, a group of Jewish settlers wrote racist slogans on a number of Palestinianowned homes in Huwwara town, south of Nablus.
Settlers have stepped up their attacks recently against Palestinian citizens by targeting houses and burning and looting olive trees in the countryside of Nablus, where more than 62 attacks have been detected in the past two weeks.
