Amman, Forty Jordanian companies, specialized in the plastic industry, participated in the Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber, known as K 2019, which was concluded on Saturday in Dusseldorf, Germany.
In a press statement on Sunday, the Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) said the Kingdom’s participation in the exhibition aimed to inform industrial companies on the systems and machinery for plastic recycling, in addition to the promotion of Jordanian plastic products.
“The Jordanian delegation participating in the exhibition visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dusseldorf to introduce the plastic industry in Jordan and opportunities available in the sector,” the statement added.
The current production volume of the plastic industry sector is more than $1.1 billion, which constitutes approximately 5 percent of the total industrial production in Jordan, from the 587 active factories across the country.
About 3330 exhibitors, representing 63 countries, participated in the eight-day exhibition, while the number of visitors reached about 225 thousand.
