26 Palestinians injured as settlers storm Joseph Tomb in Nablus

Ramallah, Some 26 Palestinians on Wednesday were injured and suffered suffocation in clashes with Israeli forces as hundreds of Jewish extremist settlers stormed “Joseph Tomb” east of the West Bank city of Nablus.

In a statement, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its ambulance crews had administered first aid to citizens, who were injured and suffered suffocation after Israeli forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets and toxic tear gas canisters at them.

Israeli troops stormed the eastern area of the city and deployed the soldiers to secure the settlers’ intrusions.

Meanwhile, dozens of Jewish radical settlers, under the protection of Israeli soldiers, pelted stones and empty bottles at Palestinian-owned vehicles on Jenin-Nablus road in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian Commission to Resist Israeli Wall and Settlement said.
